Hi Gang,
If you're looking to expand your collection or just have some fun, the Center for Contemporary Art, Sacramento is holding their annual auction this Saturday, November 17, 2012.

I've donated the piece you see in this post to the auction which is a fundraiser for the Center.

My piece is a photogram made by mailing unexposed paper to myself and developing it after its arrival, and exposure to light during its journey though the postal system.

There are lots of other artworks that can be had for a real deal (holiday gifts anyone?).

Two ways to check it out:
1) See the art online and take advantage of the "buy now" option. Great if you hate to be "scooped" on a purchase.
2) Buy tickets at $50 each and attend the event. There will be both a live and silent auction.

Amazing food will be there too! Sellands, Sensei Sushi and Tuli Bistro will be taking care of everyone. ...I'm drooling already.

This fundraiser is for the organization who puts together the yearly Capital Artists' Studio Tour among other great shows and events. I donated art to support the impact that they make in the community and it feels good to be a part of it.

If you like what they do, take a look at the auction items and see if there is something you might like to buy. It's hard to make a better purchase with a bigger impact.

Cheers,
Kate
