I have a long history with creating
photograms and
cameraless images. A special place in my art includes what I call
Glowograms, where I have made cameraless images by the use of toys or creatures that emit a
phosphorescent light, thereby exposing themselves to the paper.
I have a series of photograms that are are created by putting un-exposed photo paper in the
mail, letting the image
expose itself through the mailing process, and then develop it upon arrival.
The Negative Office Thoughts and Positive Office Thoughts images have been created by putting un-exposed photo paper in the mail.
The paper is packaged in a box along with carefully selected items inside and
positive notes about my day job (kudos notes, korporate kash, etc...). Packaged
with a light emitting object generated from work, these mailings carry hopes of
reconciling my day-job-self with my art-self. —An effort to bring two places a
little closer to alleviate frustrations with both.
