blurting yellow

another sure sign of spring -the daffodil. growing up, these used to pop up every year along our driveway, even through the snow. it was reassurance that the ice age had not really come back and that warm summer days would be there soon.

I replanted these bulbs from my front yard about 2 years ago and thought they may have met their end since they didn't bloom last year. Surprised to see about 3 or 4 blooming just this morning. Maybe they'll get to stay in that box after all.
